Nomex Product Care

Below are the product care instructions for NSA's Nomex™ FR clothing. Nomex offers comfortable daily FR workwear including coveralls, jackets, balaclavas and more. To maintain optimal protection, it is important to launder these garments according to the specific product care instructions.
 


 

*READ THE GARMENT LABEL AND LAUNDER PER INSTRUCTIONS ON GARMENT LABEL*

Nomex™: Coveralls, jackets, and hats

Important: 
- DO NOT use chlorine bleach or detergents containing bleach
- DO NOT use fabric softeners 
- DO NOT line dry in sunlight

Wash/Laundering Instructions:
- Machine wash warm (Max. 140ºF / 60ºC) 
- Heavy duty detergent 
- Tumble dry low (Max. 160ºF / 71ºC) 

*Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc.* 

*If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of garment.*

Nomex™: Balaclavas/Knit Hoods   

Important:
- DO NOT use bleach, chlorine, or hydrogen peroxide
- DO NOT use fabric softener

Wash/Laundering Instructions:
- Wash fabric separately from other fabrics
- Machine wash warm with mild detergent 
- Dry using warm cycle, remove immediately after finished

*Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc.* 

*If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of garment.*

Nomex™: FR Fleece 3-in-1 Hood

Important:
- DO NOT use bleach, chlorine, or hydrogen peroxide
- DO NOT use fabric softener

Wash/Laundering Instructions:
- Wash fabric separately from other fabrics
- Machine wash cold on gentle cycle 
- Mild detergent
- Hang dry when possible or low heat when necessary

*Wash according to the instructions above to remove any contaminants in order to maintain fabric performance when garment becomes soiled with dirt, greases, oils, etc.* 

*If contaminants cannot be removed after laundering, it is best to discontinue use of garment.*
